Pole Tricks Foundations (beginner)
These classes are designed for anyone new to pole or those looking to master their foundational skills. We cover essential spins, movements, terminology, and grips while helping you build core strength and stamina. Even with prior experience, these classes are the best way to reinforce the basics and build confidence. To ensure safe and effective progression, all students new to pole must start with this class, even if you intend on pursuing primarily the dance aspect of pole!
No previous experience necessary.
*Shorts and a tank top are recommended. Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle, and avoid the use of lotion the day of class.*

Pole Tricks Level 1 (pre-intermediate)
Ready to build on your foundation? This class is for students who have a solid grasp of their fundamental skills and are ready to take their practice to the next level. We'll focus on linking tricks and movements on the pole, introducing additional essential skills like Figurehead and Jasmine. This is where you'll build the strength and stamina needed to start creating your first flowing combinations and sequences.
Requirements: Pole sit, fan kick, chair spin, back & front hook spin, fireman spin, ability to hold knees to chest for 5 seconds (invert prep), and minimum of 3 climbs off the floor

Pole Tricks Mixed Beginner (Foundations/Level 1)
This mixed-level class is designed for students from beginner to pre-intermediate who want to perfect their essential skills. We'll focus on foundational techniques, exploring crucial grips, hooks, spins, and pole terminology. By combining students with a similar skill capacity, you'll gain confidence, reinforce good habits, and find inspiration from your peers. Gain the strength and stamina to confidently unlock your next level!
Requirements: Beginner focused, but all levels are welcomed! Level 1 tricks & transitions require mastery of all required skills to attend L1 classes.

Pole Tricks Level 2 (intermediate)
Ready to take your skills to new heights? If you’ve mastered your floor inverts and the above requirements, then get ready to defy gravity. We'll elevate your practice with a new arsenal of thrilling tricks like leg hangs and hip holds. You'll build the incredible strength and stamina needed to truly soar on both static and spin pole, unlocking a world of breathtaking new possibilities.
Requirements: Master moves & skills taught in “Pole Tricks Foundations.” PLUS Controlled & safe invert from the floor, pole climbs, candy cane/hangman, jasmine, apprentice, figurehead/hood ornament, hello boys

Pole Tricks Level 3 (advanced)
This is your chance to truly take flight. We'll fuse the skills you’ve learned into breathtaking aerial combinations and master advanced transitions that will push your limits. Learn to link complex movements into seamless, flowing sequences that not only build incredible endurance and strength, but ignite your creative spirit. On both static and spin pole, you'll transform your inversions from simple tricks into a powerful, captivating story. Get ready to elevate your practice and truly own the sky!
Requirements: Master moves & skills taught in “Pole Tricks Foundations” and “Pole Tricks L1” classes. PLUS Controlled & safe aerial invert, hip hold, superman, brass monkey, flatline scorpio, inside leg hang, outside leg hang, floor shoulder mount, ballerina variations (floor, aerial, and straight leg/sickle foot), gold rush, pencil spin

Pole Tricks Mixed Intermediate (Level 2/3)
Elevate your practice in a dynamic, mixed-level environment! This class is for students at Levels 2 and 3 who are ready to push their boundaries and take their skills to the next level. You'll be challenged with a constantly evolving curriculum of tricks and combos, with instruction tailored to meet you exactly where you are in your journey. Get inspired by your peers and master the skills you need to soar past your limits.
Requirements: Master all required skills to attend L2 classes. Level 3 tricks & transitions require mastery of all required skills to attend L3 classes.

Pole Tricks Level 4 (expert)
Woohoo! You are SO strong! It's time to push your limits and continue crossing off those ambitious pole goals. This expert-level class is specifically designed to challenge your strength and control as we delve into two-point contact tricks on both static and spin pole. Prepare to master dynamic new shapes and intricate transitions that demand precision and power. We'll focus on elite inversions, incredible balances, and sequences that will elevate your aerial artistry to thrilling new heights. Get ready to amaze yourself with what you can achieve!
Requirements: Master moves & skills taught in “Pole Tricks Foundations,” “Pole Tricks L1,” and “Pole Tricks L2” classes. PLUS circus climb, controlled & safe aerial shoulder mount, extended/straight leg butterfly, jade split, flares/figure 8’s, ability to string together at least 3 aerial L3 moves to create a combo

Floor & Basework (all levels)
Uncover the hidden art of basework and floorwork.This class will help you master the fundamentals of movement close to the floor. You'll learn how to shift your weight and create movement around the pole, while also learning how to move with confidence on the floor. The class covers foundational skills like forward and backward shoulder rolls, leg waves, and various ways to come up the pole and down to the floor.
Requirements: Beginner focused, but all levels welcomed! Recommended to have taken “Pole Tricks Foundations” class.

Heels & Dance Foundations (all levels)
This class builds foundational dance skills, strength, and technique specifically for dancing in pole heels. You'll familiarize yourself with essential body engagements to confidently learn choreography with proper form. We'll begin with strengthening and muscle engagement, then transition into movement exploration using these techniques. Come as you are – barefoot, in socks, or in heels!
Requirements: Beginner focused, but all levels welcomed! Recommended to have taken “Pole Tricks Foundations” class.

Choreography
Choreography classes challenge you to dare to discover a new side of yourself as you explore movement and truly get lost in the music. This isn't just about perfecting moves; it's an invitation to refine your unique rhythm, connect with your inner power, and let the music guide your soul to new, expressive heights. You'll leave the studio feeling more confident, self-assured, and grounded in your body's ability to tell a story and express itself freely. Choreography styles will vary by instructor.
Requirements: All level-specific classes correspond to your Pole Level. You must master all required skills before attending a class at that level. Chairplay (all levels)
Seamlessly incorporate the chair into your movement, and transform it into a versatile partner. You'll explore a wide range of moves on and off the chair, including fluid transitions and sequences that can be integrated with the pole. Learn various styles of chair dance and tricks, from sensual flows to acrobatic poses, all while building strength, flexibility, and confidence as you master this unique prop.

Freestyle Flow (all levels)
Welcome to a class where you can truly find your own flow and let loose! This is your invitation to draw inspiration from within as you discover your unique rhythm, body movement, and self-awareness. We'll use a variety of props and/or prompts to help you tap into your inner thoughts, feelings, and emotions, translating them into beautiful movements set to music. Don't worry if you think you "don't know how to dance"—we're here to work together and discover your dance. Come explore, express, and let your soul move!

Ballet Pole Choreo (Level 1+)

Contemporary Pole Choreo (Level 1+)

Exotic Flow Choreo (Level 1+)
This class is all about embracing fluidity, connecting with the music, and creating continuous, seamless transitions and movement both on and around the pole. You'll learn to weave together a guided choreography, emphasizing smooth floorwork, intricate base work, and graceful pole transitions. The goal isn't just to do tricks, but to move effortlessly between them, finding a unique, flowing rhythm and discovering how to tell a story with every step, spin, and glide. You'll leave feeling more connected to your body and confident in your ability to express yourself through dance.

Low Flow Choreo (Level 1+)

We'll unlock a new arsenal of intricate basework and fluid floorwork transitions, and explore advanced, gravity-defying tricks to elevate your performance. This is where we sharpen your technique, boost your power, and truly command the dance floor with a style that's all your own.

Aerial Artistry Choreo (Level 3+)
This class is for those ready to move beyond isolated tricks and combos, bridging the gap between pole tricksters and fluid performers. This choreography class will take the skills you've mastered and synchronize them with music, link aerial tricks, gravity-defying combinations, and graceful transitions. You’ll learn to interpret the music and tell your unique story through an expressive routine performed almost entirely above the ground. Students must be able to safely string together at least five aerial L2 and up moves to ensure they can safely perform the longer combinations in this class.

Silks & Pole Fusion (Intro/Level 1)
This class is the best of both worlds, bringing together the elegance of Aerial Silks and the power of Pole for a workout so fun you'll forget you're even exercising. With silks attached to the pole, you'll discover your inner acrobat, learning amazing new shapes and spins that will have you feel like you're flying. It's the perfect way to have a blast while building serious strength and flexibility.

Handstands & Hand Balancing (all levels)
Ever dreamt of defying gravity? This class is all about building incredible shoulder and core strength as we guide you through the fundamentals of hand balancing, in order for you to feel completely comfortable upside down. We'll focus on effective drills designed to strengthen your handstand skills from the ground up. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your balance, this is an all-levels class, and absolutely no previous experience is necessary. Come discover the joy of inversions!

Flexibility & Conditioning (all levels)
Transform your body and boost your performance! This dynamic combo class kicks off with invigorating conditioning exercises that will fire up your muscles, build stamina, strength and mobility.. We'll power through a variety of drills and movements designed to warm you up from the inside out. Then, we seamlessly shift gears into a deep-dive flexibility session. You'll explore both active and passive stretching techniques, targeting muscle groups to unlock new ranges of motion and leave you feeling incredibly limber. This is an all-levels class, so whether you're just starting your fitness journey or you're a seasoned pro, you'll find your challenge and leave feeling stronger, more agile, and ready for anything!

Roll, Work, and Recover (all levels)
It’s time to unwind and rejuvenate with a full-body reset! Using a foam roller, we'll guide you through targeted self-massage to melt away tension and release tight muscles. We'll also gently strengthen your body to build a stronger foundation and improve your posture. This unique blend of relaxation and conditioning will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for your next pole session.

Climb, Invert, and Shoulder Mounts (all levels)
Ready to finally conquer that climb, invert, or shoulder mount? This is the class for you! This all-levels conditioning class, or "C.S.I." as we like to call it, is specifically designed to give you the strength and technique you need to achieve your pole goals. We'll focus on targeted exercises and drills that strengthen the key muscle groups required for these challenging moves. Whether you're a beginner just starting out or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your technique, you'll build a solid foundation and gain the power and control needed to elevate your practice.
Requirements: All levels welcomed! Recommended to have taken “Pole Tricks Foundations” class.

Pick a Trick (all levels)
Ready to finally nail that trick and/or level up? This is your ultimate practice session! Think of it like a souped-up Open Pole where you have an instructor's expert eye and hands-on help. You bring the goal—whether it's a new move you've been dreaming of or a required trick for advancement—and we'll provide the spotting, guidance, and progressions to help you achieve it safely. This class is also for you if you want to practice independently with the option of assistance when needed. Instructors will assess your skill and capacity to determine if a move can be safely taught; they reserve the right to decline if it's deemed unsafe.
Requirements: Recommended for students who have pole experience or attended our “Pole Tricks Foundations” class

Open Pole (all levels)
This is your dedicated time to refine the skills and techniques you've already learned in class. You'll have the freedom to practice at your own pace and focus on what you need most. Please note, no formal instruction will be provided during Open Pole. An instructor will be on-site solely to grant access to the studio space and ensure a safe environment.
Requirements: Recommended for students who have pole experience or attended our “Pole Tricks Foundations” class
Peer Instruction Policy: We deeply value the supportive nature of our pole community; however, due to liability concerns, Rise and Climb Fitness cannot permit any student to teach pole tricks, choreography, or other activities to another student within the studio. This policy is strictly enforced. Any instruction for monetary compensation will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the studio. We would truly hate for it to come to that, so please respect this serious boundary!
